Three Sparks Announced on Olympic Roster
Just when you thought the Sparks big three were done for the Olympics break, they’re back. On July 9th, Delisha Milton-Jones was announce to the U.S. Olympic Women’s Basketball Team along with Tamika Catchings and Kara Lawson. Delisha Milton-Jones’s other teammates Candace Parker and Lisa Leslie were named to the team back in May. Three Sparks on the team means that the Sparks are doing something right on the court.
Candace Parker participated in the FIBA All-America games and helped qualify herself and some others for the 2008 Olympics. Lisa Leslie participated in the Good Luck Beijing games and was announced to the Olympic team, she also hold 3 Gold medals. Delisha Milton-Jones holds a gold medal from the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, Australia and now hopes to hold one this year.
The U.S. Olympics Women’s Basketball Team will play it’s first game August 9th vs. Czech Republic. Their first meeting will be held at the end of July in San Francisco, California.
